What makes the edition?
We collect publisher feeds and news sitemaps at 6:15 a.m. Eastern.
We group related headlines and rank events by the number of
outlets covering them, recency and prominence in the feed. State
desks also favor local reporting. We consider the preceding 72
hours, so overnight developments and weekend coverage can qualify.
Who writes the five versions?
Spin News uses AI to write five editorial interpretations of each
event from the linked headlines, summaries and available opening
paragraphs. Each reading emphasizes a detail found in the
reporting. The labels describe our reconstructions. The publishers
retain their own editorial positions.
What counts as a fact?
A highlighted statement is a claim supported by a cited report.
Allegations and forecasts need attribution. We check source
phrases against the input and run a second automated review for
unsupported claims. A single-source story is labeled. Follow the
links to assess the reporting yourself.
When does it publish?
The daily edition opens at 7 a.m. Eastern as desks finish. This
timing includes overnight international reporting and the first
East Coast updates. The edition targets 10 world stories, 20 U.S.
stories and two from each state. A desk can run short when
evidence is thin. Past editions are available for 45 days.
